EPHESUS

A ship lands at the port within Ephesus city, on the land of the Ionians. The voyager, who disembarks from the ship, first prays in the temple of Artemis. He paces the Celsus library and the harbor street surrounded by columns. And he enters into a perfume shop. The scent of bergamot, brought by the warm wind blowing from the hills, mixes with the geraniums, touches the leaves of the sweetgum trees and descends to the street, filling the perfume shop.
